Chwila wolnego czasu natchnęła mnie do napisania poradnika odnośnie emisji cyfrowych.
A moment of free time inspired me to write a guide for digital emissions.
Cz1 będzie odnośnie przygotowania programu do wejścia w świat emisji cyfrowych. Podstawą dla mnie będzie Ham Radio Deluxe w wersji 5.0 beta, jednak wszelkie wskazówki będą także dotyczyć wersji czwartej.
Pierwszą rzeczą jaką należy zrobić po zainstalowaniu programu, to ustawić preferencje do obsługi radia, zależne od transcivera jaki posiadamy a także rodzaju interfejsu.
Ja dysponuję radyjkiem Icom IC-735 i ręcznie robionym interfejsem (identycznym z oryginalnym CI-V i łącznika do transmisji auto z pełną optyczną separacją). Okienko zaraz po pierwszym włączeniu programu i ustawieniu wszystkiego do podłączenia radia wygląda u mnie tak:
po połączeniu powinniśmy ujrzeć interfejs ze wszystkimi ważnymi przełącznikami i ustawieniami jakimi dysponuje radio.
w Opcjach programu (Tools/Program Options zakładka Com Port TX) musimy wskazać jak nasz interfejs steruje przełącznikiem PTT w radiu (dla mojego interfejsu, jest to RTS).
Jako że zajmiemy się emisjami cyfrowymi, bardziej niż sam HRD będzie nas interesować jego podprogram, a dokładniej DigitalMaster 780, jednak zanim do niego przejdziemy musimy jeszcze ustawić ostatnią opcję w HRD a dokładniej IP server (Tools/Ip Server)
Całość ustawień sprowadza się do kliknięcia start, jednak warto zaznaczyć obydwie opcje zaznaczone tak jak u mnie na screenie. Pierwsza uruchomi automatycznie ip server za każdym razem jak włączymy HRD, zaś druga umożliwi podłączenie do naszego programu jedynie z naszego kompa (czyli nie podłączymy się z innego kompa iż nasz, jeśli zamierzamy podłączać się np z innego komputera w sieci to warto odznaczyć ta opcję).
No więc przechodzimy to DM780.
Przy pierwszym uruchomieniu Warto dodać informację o sobie w zakładce „Tags” (z lewej strony okna) gdzie wpisujemy swoje dane i dane sprzętu jakim dysponujemy.
Następnym krokiem jest podłączenie radia, czyli z lewej wybieramy zakładkę „Radio” i „Configure” tam ustawiamy port identyczny jak w Ip Server w HRD (czyli jeśli tam nic nie zmienialiśmy to zostawiamy bez zmian) i klikamy connect, potem jeśli samo nie załapie wybieramy connect to HRD i powinniśmy ujrzeć uproszczony interfejs obsługi naszego radia.
Kolejną rzeczą jaką należy zrobić jest ustawienie sterowania PTT w DM780, można to zrobić wchodząc do Tools/Program Options (lub klawisz F8) później w menu po lewej wybieramy PTT i ustawiamy jak na rysunku:
W tej chwili nasz program jest skonfigurowany do pracy w emisji, jednak kolejną rzeczą (już nie w DM780) którą musowo zrobić jest ustawienie poziomu sygnału wychodzącego do transcivera. Jako że jak pewnie znaczna większość używa karty dźwiękowej do modulowania sygnału niezbędne jest skalibrowanie tego sygnału do odpowiedniego poziomu (zbyt słaby sygnał doprowadzi do tego, że nasz sygnał będzie bardzo słabo słyszalny, zaś zbyt silny sygnał doprowadzi do powstania interferencji i bocznych listków w naszym sygnale, poza tym przy przemodulowaniu nie dość że my szkodzimy innym zasiewając znaczną część i tak wąskiego pasma emisji cyfrowej, to jeszcze nasz sygnał staje się znacznie mniej czytelny.
Są 2 metody poprawnego wysterowania, pierwsza, gdzie puszczamy najpierw czystą sinusoidę i obserwujemy moc na s-metrze, po czym podajemy tzw idle czyli emisję cyfrową bez znaków (w dm780 wystarczy nacisnąć przycisk „send”) i regulować tak głośnością w systemie, aby moc idle była dokładnie połową mocy czystej sinusoidy.
Druga metodą jest wysterowanie zgodnie ze wskaźnikiem ALC, gdzie puszczamy emisję cyfrową (nadajemy np wywołanie lub cokolwiek innego, ważne aby nie przeszkadzać innym) i ustawiamy tak siłę sygnału aby wskaźnik ALC wskazywał dokładnie zaznaczoną kreskę na s-miarce:
Ważne jest także odpowiednie dobranie mocy nadajnika, bo o ile dobranie zbyt małej mocy nie jest w żaden sposób szkodliwe zarówno dla nas jak i innych (bo będziemy tylko minimalnie słabiej słyszalni) o tyle dobranie zbyt dużej mocy utrudni innym prowadzenie łączności poprzez nasz sygnał zakłócający zwykle na dość szerokim zakresie (nawet do 500Hz, gdzie prawidłowo ustawiony nadajnik pracuje na szerokości 31Hz dla PSK31).
Np. dla mojego nadajnika 100W moc maksymalna, która nie doprowadza do zmiany szerokości zajmowanego pasma, to ok 40W, choć zwykle pracuję na mocach ok 20-30w lub nawet na qrp.
To na dzisiaj tyle, w następnych częściach wyjaśnie jak konfigurowac makra oraz przeprowadzić pierwszą łączność.

The whole setup comes down to click on start, but it is worth mentioning the two options selected, as on my screenshot. The first ip server starts automatically every time you turn on HRD, and the second enables you to connect to our program only from our computer.
So go to DM780.
It is when you first start to add information about themselves in the „Tags” (on the left side) where their data type and data equipment have.
The next step is to connect the radio, or on the left select the „Radio” and „Configure” instantly set the port the same as Ip Server HRD (if there is nothing we changed leave it unchanged), and click connect, then if it not connect yet, we click „connect to HRD”, and you should see a streamlined interface of our radio service.
Another thing you should do is to set the PTT control of DM780, you can do so by going to Tools / Program Options (or press F8) later in the left menu select PTT and set the figure as:
At this time our program is configured to work in the digital emission, but the next thing (no longer in DM780) that must do is to set the level of the signal going to a transcivera.
